This is the second year the couple has been in the turkey business. When Acee lost her father, Allan Laudert, to cancer, she and Mitch suddenly owned the family ranch and its 300 turkeys. Fortunately, Acee has a bachelor of science degree in nutrition and animal science and Mitch has a master of business administration degree. They were ready for a challenge.

The NRA's cause: urging the U.S. Supreme Court to guarantee the ability of gun owners across the land to keep and bear arms.  Last year, the high court struck down a ban on handguns in Washington, D.C., ruling for the first time that the Second Amendment's right to bear arms applies to individuals who keep a gun at home for self-defense. But the court made it clear the ruling applied only to the District of Columbia, a federal enclave.

</pubDate></item><item><title>City, county may ban bias based on sexual orientation
</title><link>http://research.lawyers.com/news-headline/City,-county-may-ban-bias-based-on-sexual-orientation-l:1079629417.html?method=rss</link><description> Nov. 22--Akron and Summit County may outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. City and County Council committees on Monday will discuss legislation that would add these to their lists of protected classes. Both councils are expected to vote on the legislation Nov. 30. Akron and Summit County are behind the times in this area, as many other big cities and counties in Ohio already have taken this step.
